Join Our Team

We are a dedicated, collaborative group of educators who work in a flexible, team-oriented environment. In your job, you must be willing to stretch beyond a traditional job description as you live and work closely with the local community and the Cape Eleuthera Foundation.

Our faculty demonstrates resourcefulness by designing experiential curriculum, developing partnerships within the local and Foundation community and engaging families to support the vision and mission of DCMS.

In this position, you will utilize a variety of instructional strategies consistent with a place based approach to teaching and learning at DCMS while covering The Bahamian National Curriculum and our core values of academic growth, leadership and responsible citizenship.

Our curriculum and pedagogy allows for a lot of flexibility as teachers focus on the real world concepts, skills and values that the students will need to be successful community members. Place and project-based lessons with experiential components are used to engage students. School is open five days a week from 8:00am until 5:00pm and there are often weekend obligations.

Those who join our high-functioning team will be committed to achieving the goals of DCMS and the Cape Eleuthera Foundation. A two-year commitment is desired. We are an equal opportunity employer and especially encourage applications from Bahamians.

We post specific full-time teaching positions as they become available, but welcome applications for teaching positions at any time. (Please submit your general application to
